Jaya Wales, 29, of Martinsburg, said she was interested in learning about self-defence force and how to use some of the Dryad products, since she does not drive.

"I practise a lot of walking, and you only never know. I would want to exist prepared in case anything ever did happen," she said.

Henry said Empower Hours are not merely practical, but a adept fourth dimension.

She said her husband is pleased with her line of work.

Kelly Burke, 39, of Martinsburg, hosted the recent Saturday evening party at the salon owned by her friend Jennifer Cooper. Shush, an Avon representative, wife and mother of three boys, said it was the tertiary Empower 60 minutes she has hosted.

Burke said she is intrigued by Damsel's mission to brainwash women.

 "Sometimes when I get to the mail office later on hours, I recollect near that woman who was murdered at the post office in Hedgesville (West.Va.) years ago. And that crime was never solved. You merely never know," she said.

Burke has never been "attacked, per se," she said, but she remains warning and enlightened of the possibility. She owns a number of Damsel in Defense force products and used her stun gun once at night when she sensed a suspicious man was approaching her.

"I idea he was coming toward me and I didn't know what his intentions were. I fired the gun as a warning. Thankfully, nothing happened," she said. "Having the stun gun on me merely makes me feel a piffling bit safer."
